Hi, I’m Michelle, wife to Jeff and mother to two girls Mikayla age 11 and Madilynn age 8. A few years ago I had been praying for some way for our family to serve together. We were introduced to Kids On A Mission several years ago and both our girls immediately wanted to plan their first meeting to get friends involved in serving and raising money to help those in need.  We started with doing yard
sales, collecting recycling, and bake sales. It was amazing to see our young girls take the initiative and do these projects with very little help from us.

Last year we were invited to Costa Rica to help with vacation bible school. We had to raise a lot of money and at first, we were unsure if this is what God wanted for us. We prayed about it and trusted in Him. God showed up in a Big Way!! We immediately started receiving large donations towards our mission trip and it was then that we realized that this is what God wanted us to do. He helped us to fully
trust in Him and have faith.

We had such an amazing time working with the two churches and their families in Costa Rica and with our KOAM Team. Our girls were able to truly learn to serve others and came back feeling very appreciative of what they have. It helped my husband and I get out of our comfort zone as well and serve too. Even though we had a language barrier God’s love is so universal!

Our girls have grown so much since joining KOAM and have been able to speak to large groups of people and share what KOAM means to them. This has also allowed them to flourish in school. This is a busy season in our life and we all have to remember to take time to share God’s love and especially serving others. What better way to do that then as a family!

We love Kids On A Mission and have been so blessed to be involved with our kids.
