This morning was an early morning as we prepared for our final day at the first church. We had another great breakfast followed up by a devotion Angelina, Bryson, and Olivia. The devotion this morning was on trust, and it was a great way to start the day.
After breakfast was over we filled the vans with our supplies for the day. Then we took off for our final day at the church. When we arrived at the church there were already some kids there, and morning started off by playing frisbee, and fútbol(soccer for all our American readers). I had a great time with the kids and getting to know them more.
We then ran our VBS as scheduled, and every team did a great job with working with the kids. The games team finally got to play games outside because it wasn’t raining. Then in our object lesson, the kids learned about God’s love for us no matter who we are. Finally our craft team had the kids make necklaces with a cross on it, and beads that signified things from our walk with Christ. To close out the day we closed the three days by giving all the kids pencil pouches, and pictures to remember their time with us. It was overall a very touching experience, and it was a great experience to see God at works in the lives of the kids.
After the VBS we headed home to have a free afternoon where most of us spent time at the lake. People swam, paddle boarded, kayaked, and went tubing which made for a great ending to our last day doing VBS at the first church.
