Hey everyone! This week we asked all of you on our social media what you wanted this week’s blog post to be… and the KOAM staff team’s favorite Bible verses won!  So here they are, each staff member’s favorite Bible verse! 
 
Hey everyone, my name is Kaitlin and I’m the Founding Director of Kids On A Mission!  My favorite Bible verse is 1 Timothy 4:12 which says, ‘Do not let others look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.” 
 
I love this verse because it encourages and inspires me to set an example even when I think I am too young. It shows me that God doesn’t put boundaries on us based on our age, but He wants those of us that are young to set an example.  In this world today, kids are so looked down upon because they are simply “kids” and they are told that they can’t make a difference…but I have personally seen kids set a huge example and do powerful things that have changed people’s lives, and that is what I love about this verse.
 
 
Hello everyone, my name is Lorinda and I am the Executive Director of KOAM.  My favorite Bible verse is Joshua 1:8-9z “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.””

I love the promises in these verses. However, the reminders to meditate on His Word, to not be afraid, and to be courageous are action steps that keep me focused daily on Him.
 
My name is Ashley and I am the Leadership and Communications Director for Kids On A Mission and the verse I’ve been contemplating is Philippians 4:8. It says, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.”
 
When I feel overwhelmed or unsure of what to put my energy towards, there is so much peace in knowing it’s laid out for me right here!  When I fill myself with noble, lovely, and admirable things, they will pour out into my life.
 
Hey everyone, my name is Ethan, the Student Leadership Director of Kids On A Mission,  and the Bible verse I chose is. Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

This verse reminds me of the power Gods word has! As Christians, we have access to a weapon against evil. This weapon is the Bible! So often we forget the true power that derives from Gods word! This verse inspires me to holdfast in His word so that I may be able to fight for His glory!
 
Hey guys, my name is Savannah and I’m the Director of Organizational Planning for Kids On A Mission and my favorite Bible verse is 1 Peter 4:8, “Above all, love each other deeply because love covers over a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter‬ ‭4:8‬ NIV
 
The reason I love this verse so much is because it emphasizes one of the most important things we, as Christians, should be doing, and that is loving everyone around us unconditionally, just as Jesus loves us. In the Bible, one of the greatest commandments is love, and it is God’s love for us that saves us from our sins, and we can show God’s love by going out into the world and loving everyone, and loving others and showing them God’s love can literally change lives!
