Ever since I was 8 years old and starting Kids On A Mission, I have been given the wonderful opportunities to speak publicly in front of so many people.  Now, If you would have told me when I was 8 that I would be speaking to large crowds, microphone in hand and standing on a large stage, I would have laughed at you and said, “not a CHANCE!”

To speak publically, I had to step out of my comfort zone and do something big! I had to set my fear aside and trust that God would speak through me to make a difference in the lives of the sweet people I was sharing with.  Talk about a leap of faith. I went from not being able to talk to my family about how my day was, to standing on a stage and speaking to 1000 people.  It wasn’t something that I ever thought I would do, but there I was doing it, knowing that facing my fear would further grow God’s kingdom.

Now, speaking on a platform has become a part of my job and believe it or not, I love it! It used to be one of my biggest fears, but now I can go onto the stage with confidence knowing that God is using me in big and powerful ways.  I love what I get to do because it gives me a platform to share the love of Jesus to so many people and encourage them in the things that they are currently going through.

Recently, I have done two big presentations on the platform, 30 minutes each. I’ve spoken to the older generation and the younger generation with the combination of the two events. Seeing kids come up to me afterwards and tell me that they want to do something to make a difference in the community like my friends and I have done, and seeing older people coming to me and telling me their personal stories of what they have been able to do in their lives is what inspires me to do what I do.

For those of you who are reading this, I encourage you to find your platform and use it in ways that will bless people. You have no idea how many people look up to you and are inspired by you in just the simple, everyday things you do.
