Hello Everyone!!

As we are in the Christmas/ Thanksgiving and holiday season, it brings to light all the things that we have to be thankful for!

I know that I could sit here and write a million things that I am thankful for, but I am only going to pick a few!  I am ever so thankful for every single one of you who are reading this blog, I am thankful for every single person who has prayed for and supported the mission of Kids On A Mission, I am thankful for those of you who have sacrificed your time to bless others here locally and around the world, and finally, I am thankful for all of your beautiful hearts to serve the Lord and people.

Now all of this thankfulness talk reminds me so much of our initiatives, but especially the backpack initiative. Because our backpack initiative is local, we have been able to go and help distribute them to communities in the central valley.  We have been to Kerman, Northfork, & Porterville and have been able to be hands on with our project. This is when we see the most thankfulness. We see it in the eyes and smiles of the precious kids that we hand a backpack to. We see it when their parents start crying because they weren’t able to afford a new backpack with school supplies for their kids that year. We see it when OUR team goes home blessed because we have been able bless others! We see it when our team’s reality is put into perspective because there are kids in our own communities who can’t afford a backpack! Thankfulness is a huge thing in Kids On A Mission! We are able to experience it and see it in many of the things that we have been able to do, and it has been such a privilege.
