Hello everyone and Happy Friday!!
I hope you all are having a marvelous day and enjoying the cool weather! Today on the blog, I wanted to share a little bit about our presentations and some of the platforms that the Kids On A Mission team has been able to speak on.
When Kids On A Mission was first started, the team of about 15 kids was constantly being asked to go and speak in numerous different places. Churches, Schools, Businesses, Banquets, Church VBS, and many more. So, our team would all get together, sit down and write our script for the presentation that we had coming up! We would pray over it and ask that God would use us and our words to make a difference. Before we went up on the stage, our team would all be standing in the back of the room, wearing our matching Kids On A Mission t-shirts and we would say a quick prayer that our butterflies would go away and that we would be able to effectively communicate the mission of our project. These times when we had to get in front of a crowd were some of the most nerve racking moments of my entire life, but they were definitely the most fun! I was able to stand on a stage, microphone in hand and share the love of Jesus with hundreds of people, all while standing along side of my friends, who wanted to communicate the same exact thing.
Now THAT right there is what Kids On A Mission is all about. We want to give kids the opportunity to share their hearts with others, we want to give them the tools to communicate effectively, and we want to show them that THEY can use their words to impact a ton of people.
Now that KOAM has been growing, we have been able to do this even more! Just in the past few months, we have gone and done 2 community presentations, where we bring in our team of about 8 kids and we share what we are passionate about to business leaders, church leaders, and more. It has been a crazy and super fun ride, but this is exactly what we want Kids On A Mission to be like. We want kids on the platform sharing and using their influence to make a difference in this world and that is exactly what we are doing.
