Hello Everyone & welcome back to the blog!!

Today, I have a very special project and group of people that I want to share with all of you…

The Water Initiative!

The water initiative is one of Kids On A Mission’s main projects that we are currently working very very hard on. It’s crazy to think that there are people in this world that don’t have the ability to drink clean water. This is something that I, personally take for granted. Every morning I get up and walk to the fridge, get a glass of water, shower, and brush my teeth, not even thinking about the fact that there are people all around the world that do not have the same simple luxury.  Here is a sweet quote from Braelyn Riffel, talking about what the water initiative is doing and why she is passionate about it.

“This year our clean water team is raising money for water wells in 3 [impoverished] communities in [countries such as] Kenya, Haiti, & Ethiopia. We have already raised enough money for 1 water well. Providing clean water for families is very important, because we know that kids die every day around the world by drinking dirty water. I have met kids in El Salvador that have lost their family members because they didn’t have clean drinking water. Let’s provide life!! We can keep families alive by giving them clean water!”

~Braelyn Riffel

The water initiative team has been working very hard to raise money so that they can bless kids in less fortunate communities all around the world!  Just recently, the team has raised enough money to provide ONE well in Ethiopia which is SO exciting! We have been working with the organization called Water4 and they have been so kind in sending us pictures of where the well is located and the people that have been trained to use it.

We are so proud of our water team and all of the hard work that they have done to reach this goal! Thank you so much for all of your support, for we would not have reached all of our goals if it weren’t for you!
