happy Friday everyone!!
Today on the blog I wanted to tell you all about the super cool opportunity that I had last week!!
As most of you know, the Kids On A Mission team was able to go on a mission trip to Costa Rica last December and when I left, I knew that I left my heart there. About 3 weeks ago, I was told that Costa Rica was being hit by a tropical storm and there were many people who were getting seriously effected. I, along with my dad were asked to travel down there for 4 days and help these people by bringing water filters to the communities that were hit the worst. And I was SO excited!!
So I left Fresno last Wednesday and flew to Miami to meet my dad and from there, we flew to Costa Rica. It was COMPLETELY life changing and oh so eye opening! We stayed with these two missionaries from America who have now lived there for 5 years and served along side of them while we were there.
I went into the homes of people who were terribly effected by the storm, prayed for them, loved on them, and brought and set up water filters for them. My team was mostly serving in the small community of Bambu, which is basically a squatter village that is in the city of Filadelfia, Costa Rica. I constantly had kids surrounding me, asking for my phone number, getting pictures, asking me to move to their community and teach them English, and just letting me love on them. It was the most precious thing ever and these kids have my whole heart♥️
I wish I could put into words how amazing this trip was and what it meant to me, but I won’t ever be able to. They blessed me so much more then I could have ever blessed them. I know that I will be back very soon and this makes me even more excited for the upcoming team that’s heading to Costa Rica.
